The Secret Squirrel Society Entertainment Group, Inc. is a veteran-owned marketing, advertising and production company based in Russellville, Arkansas. Founded in 2007. Incorporated in Arkansas in 2017. Working for clients since 2010.
The Short Version
Our name comes from where we started, not from where we ended up. It is worth two minutes of explanation, because it is also the reason we can do things most agencies cannot.
A Society, Not An Agency
The Secret Squirrel Society was formed in 2007 as a co-ed sports, social and entertainment company, built around bringing a diverse group of people together and creating a genuine sense of community.
It was set up as an LLC. It was not a marketing company and it was not trying to be one.
People Started Paying Us
Running events and producing content for a community teaches you the whole job: how to fill a room, how to shoot it, how to cut it, and how to get people to come back. By 2010 other organisations were asking us to do it for them, and the entertainment side became client work.
Film and television production followed, under Secret Squirrel Films and alongside our affiliated companies Bold Studios LA and Bold Theatre.
Arkansas, And A Corporation
We converted from an LLC to a corporation and incorporated in Arkansas. Russellville became the operating base, and Arkansas became the centre of the client work, with a continued presence on the West Coast for production.
The Agency Grew Out Of The Production Company
Clients who hired us to shoot something started asking who was designing the poster. Then who was printing it. Then who was planning the campaign it belonged to. Every time, the honest answer was that we could do it, so we did, and eventually that was most of the business.
Today we serve as the marketing and advertising agency for multiple Harley-Davidson dealerships in Arkansas, we run marketing for performing arts venues including Bold Theatre, The Rialto Community Arts Center and Foundry Entertainment Hall, and we still make films.
This website is nineteen years late because the work has always come by referral. We are changing that, which is why you are reading this.
Ten Years Of Combat Camera
The company is veteran owned, and the camera side of it is built on ten years of military Combat Camera — documenting operations in conditions where the light is wrong, the schedule has already collapsed, and there is no second take.
That is not a story we tell for sentiment. It is the operational reason a small crew from us can walk into an unfamiliar room and come out with usable footage, and the reason a deadline is treated as a fact rather than an opening position.

The people who plan the campaign design it, shoot it and produce the printed material. There is no hand-off to a stranger halfway, and nothing important gets lost in a brief written for someone who was not in the room.
We tell you when the answer is no
If the budget will not do what you are asking, or if you do not actually need an agency, we say so. It costs us work occasionally and it has kept clients for over a decade.
Deadlines are dates, not intentions
Event marketing and print production do not forgive slippage. A banner that arrives the day after the event is worth nothing, so we build schedules backwards from the install date.
You own what we make
Photography, artwork, footage and files are yours. We hand back the working assets, not just the exports, so you are never locked to us to reprint your own poster.
