Small Staff. Full Season. We Take The Marketing.
Marketing, brand, web and production support for performing arts venues and community theatres. Built by people who work in entertainment, for people who cannot afford an agency and a print vendor and a web developer.
We Know What A Venue Actually Runs On
Almost every performing arts venue we have worked with has the same shape: a very small paid staff, a volunteer board, a season that has to be sold before the money arrives, and no one whose actual job is marketing. The marketing gets done at eleven at night by whoever has the password.
We are the marketing and advertising agency for Bold Theatre, The Rialto Community Arts Center and Foundry Entertainment Hall.
This is not a side line for us. We came out of theatre and film, we sit in these rooms, and we produce the printed material in-house, which is the part that usually breaks a venue's budget.
The Jobs Nobody At The Venue Has Time For
Selling the season, not just the next show
Most venues promote each production three weeks out and start again from zero every time. Every show is a cold start and the subscriber base never compounds.
We build the season as one campaign with a shared visual system, so each show sells the next one and the audience you earned in September is still there in April.
A brand that survives the volunteer handover
Board members and volunteers rotate. The logo drifts, the poster template changes hands, and after three seasons the venue looks like four different organisations.
We set a real identity with templates anyone can use without a design background, so the venue still looks like itself when the person who knew how to make posters moves away.
Print that does not eat the budget
Posters, programmes, lobby signage, banners and marquee graphics are a venue's largest recurring print spend, and it is usually bought retail one job at a time.
We produce print and signage as part of the campaign rather than as a separate purchase, and we plan the season's print as one run instead of nine.
A website that the box office does not fight
Venue sites tend to be a years-old theme with the season buried three clicks down and ticket links that break every time a show closes.
We build and maintain the site so show pages, dates and ticket links are quick to update and the person doing it does not need to be a developer.
Sponsorship material that closes
Sponsorship decks are usually a Word document with a logo on it, and they ask for money without showing the sponsor what they get.
We build the sponsorship tiers, the deck and the fulfilment collateral, and we produce the recognition signage the sponsor was promised.
Documentation you can actually use later
Venues rarely have decent photography of their own space, their own audience or their own productions, which makes every grant application and every sponsor pitch harder than it should be.
We shoot the venue, the shows and the events, and hand back a library you own outright for grants, press and next season's campaign.
Four Stages, Repeating Every Year
These are sequential on purpose. The reason venue marketing usually underperforms is that stage one never happens and everything downstream is improvised.
