Reciprocity

At a small southern diner, a mysterious woman finds herself caught between a man with a dark secret and the hitman hired to kill him.

At first glance most merely see Sophia as a “little person” instead of the strong, intelligent, successful, beautiful woman who is at the top of her male-dominated career field. At first glance most merely see Joe as the simple, blue collar, laid-back, southern man who runs the small-town, roadside diner instead of a man hiding from his past. At first glance most wouldn’t expect these two to find love in each other. At first glance most wouldn’t notice the assassin in their midst who is seeking retribution for the dark secret that ties them all together.

Too often people see things as they would like them to be instead of how they truly are, most fail to see what is often hiding in plain sight, but Reciprocity reminds us that things are rarely as they initially seem and that there is always a price to pay for our past deeds.

WE’RE COMMITTED TO EMPOWERING YOUNG ADULTS DEALING WITH CANCER.

Transitioning into your 20s and 30s is difficult; you are in the process of discovering who you are, the job market is tough and the cost of college tuition is at an all-time high. Now imagine that you’ve just been told that you have cancer. How do you respond? How do you feel?

Although cancer is frequently thought of as a disease of the elderly or the very young, the reality is that more than 70,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States each year. That’s a staggering number and, in fact, cancer is the leading disease killer among 20-39 year-olds.

When it comes to a cancer diagnosis, young adults are in limbo between deciding whether to move home or be independent. There is a lack of resources for this age group that tends to get overlooked by the cancer world. This is one of the greatest contributing factors to young adults falling through the cracks in the system.

While most other young adults are leading healthy, active, and busy lives, a cancer diagnosis often makes it difficult to keep up socially, academically, and professionally. It can be difficult for young adults with cancer to find strong, reliable peer support as they face their illness and this can lead to feelings of despair and isolation. Young adults dealing with cancer face a myriad of social, psychological, and of course medical hurdles. They also have to confront the loss of a sense of independence and the natural progression of maturity, as well as concerns over changes in physical appearance, fertility, and relationships. It doesn’t have to be like this though.

If only there was a television series that could help these young people navigate their way through dealing with this life-altering disease.

You Cancervice, a new hour long series hosted by young adult cancer survivor and YouTube sensation Racheli Alkobey, AKA “Radiant Racheli”, does just that; and more!

Each week Radiant Racheli and the You Cancervive team will showcase a cancer fighter and provide them with an adventure of a lifetime. This is an exciting new series which is a cross between Make-A-Wish and The Buried Life, where the team travels across the country helping survivors and patients get their feet back on the ground and ease the transition between cancer life and life after cancer.

You Cancervive is dedicated to empowering young adult cancer fighters and survivors and will be raising awareness for young adults with cancer.

With wit, edge, and humor, You Cancervive is more than just a television show. It is a safe space for people to learn, share, and support each other in moments when they need it most.
